Women of Colorado will host a paddleboarding meetup from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Lake Nighthorse.

Participants may bring a board or rent a board. Tickets for those who bring a board are $13 and $49 for those who rent a board. Both ticket options include beverages from event sponsors at Breck Brewing, as well as lunch and snacks.

The entry fee to Lake Nighthorse is not included in the ticket price. Attendees should arrive early to find parking.

San Juan County Fair kicks off Friday and runs through Aug. 13 at McGee Park, 41 County Road 5568.

The fair will feature livestock shows, a parade, vendors and live musical performances.

The San Juan County Fair parade will begin the festivities at 6 p.m. Friday and travel through downtown Farmington.

The fairgrounds will open each day at 8 a.m. Carnival rides will operate Aug. 11 to Aug. 15.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 children and seniors.
