Best bets this weekend include the Party at the Powerhouse and the Steppers “Fun-Raiser” Dance.

The Powerhouse Science Center will host Party at the Powerhouse from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the center, 1333 Camino del Rio.

Drama Club, featuring Kelsey Parks, Brian Farley, Susan Banes and special guests, will perform a set of roots rock and soul music. Attendees will have the chance to dance to live music and participate in Band Blind Date, a live band karaoke event.

Proceeds benefit Housing Solutions for the Southwest.

Children 12 and younger can attend free.

The Durango/La Plata Senior Center will host the Steppers “Fun-Raiser” Dance and mixer from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the senior center, 2424 Main Ave.

Senior center staff members will lead line dances and dance lessons. Attendees should bring a dish to share and a personal water bottle.

Proceeds benefit Alzheimer’s disease research and programs.
