Best bets this weekend in and around Durango

“Fundamentals of Drawing and Watercolor” with Kay Salwen will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Fenceline Cider, 141 S. Main St., in Mancos.

“Fundamentals of Drawing and Watercolor” with Kay Salwen will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Fenceline Cider, 141 S. Main St., in Mancos.

Salwen is offering a four-class series about the basics of drawing form, working with color and embodying creativity. Artists of all levels are welcome.

Still Poets will host its weekly Poetry Circle from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Fort Lewis College.

Poets are required to wear a mask and honor social distancing. A Zoom option will be available for those who feel more comfortable at home or who are in quarantine.

Themes are announced each week. Bring comfortable clothing, a mug for tea, a journal, a collection of poems and/or personal work. Poets are never required to share and are welcome to come listen or read another work. All listeners, writers, poets, students and community members are welcome.
