Best bets this weekend include Second Saturday Seminar and the Epic 4x4 Quest.

Animas Museum will host the Second Saturday Seminar at 1 p.m. Saturday via Zoom.

Durango’s history as a Wild West frontier town is full of stories of cowboys, railroaders, outlaws and “soiled doves.” Bessie Rivers was a legendary madam, and Hattie Mashburn was a business woman, in an era when that was unusual. Meet Rivers, the notorious owner of a “sporting house,” and upstanding businesswoman Mashburn in a presentation called “Madame, not a Madam.”

The webinar will be recorded. Cost is $5 and will benefit the Animas Museum’s online programming.
