Best bets this weekend in and around Durango

The Ignacio Green Chile Fest will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at ELHI Community Center, 115 Ute St., Ignacio.

Best bets this weekend include a chile festival and a craft fair.

The fourth annual Ignacio Green Chile Fest will celebrate all things spicy from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at ELHI Community Center, 115 Ute St., Ignacio.

The festival will feature cornhole, kids activities, music, Artist Alley, food and fresh green chile roasting. Live music will be provided by Lacey Black and Reeder & Spencer.

The 2019 winners of the third annual Green Chile Cook-off will serve up their award winning chile and salsa.

Cornhole Tournament registration starts at 1:30 p.m. with games beginning at 2 p.m. Registration is $30 per team, with cash prizes awarded. Participants must bring their own bags.

The playground will be available and kids entertainment will be provided.

Masks and social distancing are highly encouraged.

Heart and Soul Craft Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

The fair will feature more than 30 on-site vendors and food trucks, including The Crazy Coop food truck. Attendees are encouraged to contribute to the food drive. The craft fair will benefit Manna, a soup kitchen in Durango.
