Best bets this weekend include Noel Night and the “Christmas Carol: A Western Tale.”
The Noel Night holiday celebration will take place Friday in downtown Durango.
Noel Night started in 2002 as a response to the Missionary Ridge Fire and the impact the fire had on local businesses. Local First and its partners host this family-friendly event featuring special offers, live music and entertainment, raffles, parties and holiday treats.
Community Connections will also host its 16th annual Festival of Trees benefiting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities over the weekend, from noon to 5 p.m. Friday to Sunday at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Grange Hall, 479 Main Ave.
The festival is free, and there is an opportunity to win tree and wreath gifts, decorations and get-away vacation packages valued at more than $2,000.
