Best bets this weekend in and around Durango

Best bets this weekend include the first Lip Sync Battle and the San Juan Symphony Youth Orchestra concerts.

The Four Corners Child Advocacy Center will host the Lip Sync Battle at 7 p.m. Friday at the Sunflower Theatre, 8 E. Main St., Cortez. The battle will feature 10 to 12 local teams that will compete to be crowned the lip sync champion.

The event embodies the idea of giving a voice to the voiceless. Proceeds will benefit the child advocacy center. Participants can enjoy a great show while supporting a good cause.
