Best bets this weekend in and around Durango

Best bets this weekend include the Harvest Wine Festival and Bread for Manna.

The 18th annual Harvest Wine Festival will take place from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wines of the San Juan, 233 Highway 511, in Blanco, New Mexico.

The festival will feature live music, art vendors, yoga classes, food and grape stomping. Saturday’s musical lineup includes Nite Owl and After Midnight. Sunday will feature Zia Chicks, Austin Giorgio and the Pete Giuliani Band.

The Great Grape Stomp will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday. Teams will have 30 pounds of grapes to stomp in three minutes. Prizes will be awarded for the most juice squeezed and the best costumes. Registration forms are available online at bit.ly/2m0mA0v.

Sacred Rebel Yoga will offer four all-level yoga classes at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. both days. Classes are $10 per person and participants must bring their own mat.

Manna will host its annual fundraiser, Bread for Manna, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Manna, 1100 Avenida del Sol.

Entry will include appetizers, a live and silent auction, live music by Mark Palmer and Bailey Barnes-Fagg and two drink vouchers. Students from Manna’s Culinary Program will also prepare and serve food to guests. Auction items will include Purgatory Resort and Telluride Mountain Resort lift tickets, ski rentals, golf for four at Glacier Club, Ouray Hot Springs passes, dinner and a fire truck ride with Durango Fire Protection District and more.

Tickets are $50 and may be purchased at Manna, by phone at 385-5095, ext. 3, or at the door.
