Best bets this weekend in and around Durango

Best bets this weekend include the Durango Pride Festival and the Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering Barn Dance and Picnic.

This year’s ’70s-themed Durango Pride Festival will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Buckley Park, 1250 Main Ave. The festival will feature booths from a variety of local businesses, organizations and nonprofits that support diversity and equality.

Hosted by Scarlett Ultra and Dragrango Royalty Toffee Fae, the Pride Stage will host an evening-long series of music, speakers, drag performances and more. Performers will include comedian Elliot Weber, Mr. Dragrango Ryan, Ms. Dragrango 2018 Aluna Del Rey, Saints Ball and others. There will also be food, drinks and alcoholic beverages from local vendors and restaurants.

This is a free, all-ages event hosted by Four Corners Alliance for Diversity. For a full list of Durango Pride Festival events, visit bit.ly/2WSSVre.

After the festival, Starlight Lounge, 8th Ave. Tavern and Down the Rabbit Hole will host free, 21-and-older after-party events from 9 p.m. to close.
