Best bets this weekend include the 23rd annual Radiothon and Wines Not Whines.

Four Corners Broadcasting and United Way of Southwest Colorado will host a live radio broadcast Friday for the 23rd annual Radiothon.

The broadcast from Ska Brewing Co. will be live from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 101.3 KIQX-FM, 100.5 KRSJ-FM, 930 KIUP-AM and 97.3 KIUP-FM.

Donations from local businesses vary from $15 gift cards to a car from Skyway Auto, wisdom teeth extraction, train excursions, mini historic orchard trees and more.

United Way invests donations in education, health and financial-stability programs. Money raised will support 39 different programs, including six new AmeriCorps member locations and the Team UP Southwest Colorado collective impact program.

The Wines Not Whines wine tasting to benefit Lisa Parker’s Puppies will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Four Leaves Winery, 528 Main Ave.

Hors d’oeuvers will be provided with the wine tasting. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase bottles with a special Lisa Parker’s Puppies label.

Tickets are $30 per person and are available at Creature Comforts, 305 South Camino del Rio. They may also be purchased at the door.
