20MOONS dance theater will present “Between Vigilance and Sleeping” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at The MainStage Theatre at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive. The performance is an original evening-length production that delves deeply into questions about truth, dreams, reality and what is hiding in the couch.

The performance evolved from a 38-hour communal contemplation event at the Durango Arts Center in 2018. About 250 community members joined the troupe by speaking, resting, moving, dancing and writing. Those experiences were transformed into “Between Vigilance and Sleeping.” The creators and performers are Jen Abbott, Jon Bailey, Anne Bartlett, Amelia Burns, Katie Clancy, Mika Inouye, Jessica Perino and Jeroen van Tyn.

Admission is $20 for general admission and $15 for children younger than 12, seniors and college students. Tickets are available at the door or online at bit.ly/2KIZsyr.
