Best bets this weekend include the Rocky Mountain UkeFest and the Four Corners Gem and Mineral Show.
The Rocky Mountain UkeFest will celebrate its fifth year this weekend with multiple workshops and concerts at Fort Lewis College and Henry Strater Theatre.
A welcome reception will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Rochester Secret Garden, 726 East Second Ave., and will be followed by a Ukulele Open Mic session from 8 to 11 p.m. at Animas City Theatre, 128 E. College Drive.
After a weekend of workshops, the Rocky Mountain UkeFest in Concert will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Henry Strater Theatre, 699 Main Ave. The festival will conclude with the Cowboy Uke Jam from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday at 11th Street Station.
All-access festival passes are $125-$225, with individual pricing for concerts and workshops.

The annual Four Corners Gem and Mineral Show will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
Rocks, gems, minerals, beads, pearls, jewelry, tools and household items from 60 vendors will be available. Panning for gold, kids’ activities and new educational displays will also be available.
Cost is $2 for adults. Kids younger than 15 in the company of an adult can attend for free.
