Jan. 7 10:02 a.m. A man trespassed onto someone’s property and dug a hole in the back yard, the 100 block of West Park Avenue.

Jan. 31 2:26 a.m. Two men were reportedly walking through the drive-thru at McDonald’s, 201 College Drive.

February

Feb. 11 5:18 p.m. A man reportedly was loitering in front of Durango Antiques Market with a sign that read, “I need weed,” 780 Main Ave.

Feb. 12 12:28 a.m. A suspicious man reportedly was undressing inside of Conoco Express Mart, 901 Camino del Rio.

Feb. 18 5:42 p.m. A man asked another man for a hug as he was leaving his garage. The hug-seeker was arrested.

Feb. 24 10:30 a.m. Someone called to complain about the driving of someone in a white Toyota sedan with Texas license plates. The driver was swerving a lot and not negotiating turns well.

March 4 12:21 a.m. A vehicle’s horn was blaring in the 1300 block of Avenida del Sol for what seemed an interminable amount of time.

March 9 1:09 p.m. A man was writing with his finger on a car in the 1200 block of Carbon Junction.

March 12 8:18 p.m. A man wearing a traffic cone on his head was creating a traffic hazard in the 1100 block of South Camino del Rio.

March 21 7:55 p.m. Four subjects were doing something suspicious to the sign in front of the La Plata County Fairgrounds, perhaps changing the letters around.

April 4 5:05 p.m. A caller from a motel in the 3100 block of Main Avenue wanted advice on how to get someone to return a $50 borrowed book.

April 8 1:54 p.m. Arrests were made after beer was stolen from a Coors truck in the 700 block of east College Drive.

May 3 12:38 p.m. A man was using about 17 credit cards to put gasoline in a vehicle at a minimart in the 1500 block of Florida Road.

May 11 6:51 p.m. A person left a baby in a vehicle to buy alcohol in Town Plaza then drove away with the liquor on the roof of the car.

May 27 2:25 p.m. Traffic lights were turning green for two directions at the same time at Santa Rita Drive and South Camino del Rio.

June 24 12:07 a.m. Police were called to the 3000 block of the East Sixth Avenue alley because two drivers were honking their horns at each other. One driver got out of his car.

June 30 12:45 a.m. A woman loaded several bicycles in her vehicle in the 5800 block of Main Avenue. She drove off and came back without the bicycles.

July 4 11:26 a.m. Someone was burning money in the 600 block of Main Avenue.

July 9 3:32 a.m. Someone who was extremely combative wanted to talk to police about a helicopter flying at night over city limits.

July 10 3:39 p.m. A woman was trying to gain entry to the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 East Second Ave., with a cat in her bag. The woman told courthouse security it was a service animal.

July 17 11:27 p.m. A drunken woman was carrying an exhaust pipe in the 500 block of Camino del Rio, near the DoubleTree hotel.

July 22 4:53 p.m. A woman was taking off her clothes and handing out leaflets in the 900 block of Main Avenue.

July 24 2:43 a.m. A woman, who was not a Walmart employee, was stocking shelves at the Durango store.

July 29 10:56 p.m. A man was acting “a little off,” and he had a gun on his hip in the 1900 block of Main Avenue.

Aug. 2 8:02 a.m. A woman was singing Christmas carols on the south side of the Best Western Rio Grande Inn, 400 East Second Ave.

Aug. 11 6:21 a.m. Two women were putting a banner on the Arc of History statue.

Aug. 13 12:27 p.m. Someone reported a loud bongo player below his window near Main Avenue and Ninth Street.

Aug. 18 12:28 a.m. A verbal warning was given regarding a call about a badger on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Main Avenue near the Strater Hotel.

Aug. 18 7:49 p.m. A man called 911 from the Durango Public Library because his Facebook posts were being deleted.

Aug. 20 5:26 p.m. An intoxicated man was exposing himself to customers at a business in the 500 block of East Eighth Avenue, perhaps because his pants were too large.

Aug. 25 11:08 p.m. Someone called police about an ongoing problem with a neighbor in the initial block of Bacus Avenue. The neighbor yells at her cats “to come in” late at night.

September

Sept. 12 2:28 a.m. Someone requested help getting a raccoon out of the house in the 100 block of West Park Avenue.

Sept. 14 10:55 p.m. A woman was outside yelling for her cat and causing a noise disturbance on Bacus Avenue.

Sept. 23 6:16 p.m. Someone reported that a horse was riding against traffic and causing a hazard near East Third Avenue and 32nd Street.

Sept. 25 6:55 a.m. A moose was running southbound on East Second Avenue near 10th Street.

Sept. 28 8 p.m. Police were talking to a man dressed as Superman in the 1800 block of Main Avenue.

October

Oct. 5 1:33 a.m. Three people were drinking cooking wine at Walmart.

Oct. 8 6:57 p.m. A man was on a motorcycle in the Durango Skate Park trying to do backflips.

Oct. 9 1:58 a.m. A very loud, horrific noise, possibly from an injured animal, was coming from the area near the sporting fields at Riverview Elementary School.

Oct. 30 9:07 p.m. Someone popped the giant pumpkin inflatable in front of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad depot, 479 Main Ave.

November

Nov. 6 4:20 p.m. A man told dispatch he was being held by the devil in the 1100 block of Three Springs Boulevard.

Nov. 8 4:13 a.m. A man reported an Egyptian mummy outside his apartment in the 800 block of Goeglein Gulch Road.

December

Dec. 10 10:37 p.m. Cones were put in the middle of the road and people were in the woods making siren sounds near the bottom of College Hill, in the east 700 block of College Drive.
