BHS holding volleyball summer camps

Bayfield High School Volleyball-hosted summer camp dates have been announced, in a release provided the by head coach Terene Foutz.

And though neither of the two events begins until June, with enrollment for each being capped at 60 individuals it's a good idea for prospective attendees to submit their entry forms as soon as possible.

The first will be held June 4-5, with BHS welcoming Colorado State University and head coach Tom Hilbert to instruct and educate inside BHS Gymnasium. The Ram Camp is open to all girls ages 13-18, and is priced at $100 for five sessions during the two days.

CSU finished the 2014 season ranked 12th in NCAA Division I after winning a sixth straight Mountain West Conference title, and advancing to the NCAA Tournament's 'Sweet 16.'

On June 25-26, Division II power Colorado Mesa University will host a clinic open to girls ages 10-18, with the price also set at $100 for five sessions. CMU's 2014 was just as impressive as CSU's. The Grand Junction team finished ranked seventh after winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and reaching the D-II "Sweet 16." Three players later received AVCA All-America recognition.

Forms for either or both camps can be downloaded online from www.fourcornersvolleyball.org, and those with questions may call Foutz at 769-0219. Checks should be made out to BHS Girls' Volleyball, and mailed to BHS Girls' Volleyball, 800 CR 501, Bayfield, CO 81122.
