BHS seniors volunteer for Legacy Day

Bayfield High School students volunteering at Evenings Porch Assisted Living Tuesday for Senior Legacy Day. The seniors performed music for residents, as well as played games and pulled weeds. They are shown here with Jerry Horton, center, a resident at the home, and Carrie Bergfalk, left, of Pine River Valley Centennial Rotary.

On Tuesday, members of the Class of 2018 gave back to the community.

As part of Bayfield High School's annual legacy day, seniors visited and worked at Pine River Library, Bayfield Early Education Program, and other locations around town. Students also picked up trash along U.S. Highway 160.

Nickole Smith, who is preparing to graduate, said she enjoyed visiting with residents at Evenings Porch Assisted Living. They played games, and musicians Savannah Kaufmann and Callie Jung sang and played their guitars for the residents and staff.

BHS seniors will graduate on Sunday, May 20.
