Last month, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado made a plea through
I am happy to report that with the support of these wonderful local media partners and generous donations from the community, we did it!
Because of the generosity of so many, the 100 Matches in 100 Days Campaign exceeded our goal, which will keep the important work of this organization going strong into 2020. What a wonderful gift to the “Littles” and “Bigs” and to our community, made possible by you the good people of La Plata and Archuleta counties. Developing the potential of our youths insures a better future for our world. Statistically, kids in the BBBS mentoring program graduate at a higher rate, participate less in risky activities and have higher earnings as they enter the workforce. These self-fulfilling outcomes perpetuate into a high likelihood of mentoring others in need.
As the executive director, mentor and a donor myself, I continue to be amazed by this community and you.
Thank you for going BIG, Durango!
