Big thanks to my Durango nordic angels

I am a cross country skier from Aspen. I had the honor of representing the United States, and Colorado, in the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, and I am vying for a spot on the team for the Pyeongchang Olympics in February.

However, my career would have ended in 2011 and I would not have made it through any of the subsequent years had it not been for Mike and Nancy Elliott of Durango.

In the spring of 2011 the U.S. Ski Team cut all funding for B-Team athletes, and I could not afford to remain on the team or attend the World Cup races in Europe.

Incredibly, Mike stepped up, with the help of others, to found an organization called Rocky Mountain Nordic Angel with the goal of filling the funding gap left by the U.S. Ski Team. Thanks to tireless fundraising from Mike and Nancy, RMNA has fully supported me and other international-level Colorado cross country skiers over the last seven years.

I would not be chasing my dreams of Olympic success without them.
