Why so many personal attacks against Treasurer candidate Colton Black? Seems the most likely reason is to divert attention from Allison Aichele’s experience and job performance.
As a 30-year veteran of the computer industry – 15 with a large bank – I did a bit of research into her resume. In my opinion it was a bit overstated. I don’t believe I would have hired her. Nothing personal – just business.
Simply put, Colton Black’s experience, in my opinion, is far superior. Colton Black has eight years of directly relevant financial experience in the banking and investment industry, with many of those years spent in a senior-level banker position. He holds five financial-related professional licenses: three nationally regulated investment licenses though FINRA and one more through the state of Colorado directly related to the investment aspects of the treasurer role. He also has a National Mortgage Loan Originator license through NMLS which gives him added understanding of deeds of trust, which are a key component of the public trustee role which the treasurer must manage.
Colton Black’s work experience also outperforms Ms. Aichele’s in the areas of internal controls, electronic payment services, accounts receivable technology such as Lockbox, mobile payment technology and many other bank services and technology.
Colton Black’s unique combination of licensing and necessary experience make him far more prepared for the role of treasurer. Let’s elect relevant experience and talent.
