The Bureau of Land Management office in Farmington is now offering personal Christmas tree permit sales for harvest on BLM lands.

The permits will be sold through Dec. 24 and cost $5. Maps may be obtained when purchasing the permits at the Farmington Field Office, 6251 College Blvd.

When transporting a tree taken from BLM public land, the permit must be attached to the tree. Only piñon and juniper trees are available for harvest as Christmas trees on BLM lands.
