BLM Farmington Field Office offering forest product permits online

As part of its ongoing efforts to better serve the public, the Bureau of Land Management Farmington Field Office has begun offering permits for fuelwood online.

The BLM has been offering permits to members of the public for harvest of forest products from BLM-managed land. However, before online sales began, customers had to drive to their local BLM office to buy these permits.

Now, customers in participating field offices may visit www.forestproducts.blm.gov to purchase fuelwood online. Users can answer questions, enter payment information and print their permit, haul tags and maps. Permits must be printed to be considered legal. Permits for other forest products still require an in-person office visit during normal business hours by calling (505) 564-7600.

For more information, visit www.forestproducts.blm.gov or contact BLM Forester Elyssa Duran at (505) 954-2190 or ekduran@blm.gov.
