BLM Northern New Mexico advisory council to meet in August

The Bureau of Land Management will host a virtual Northern New Mexico Resource Advisory Council meeting from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Planned meeting agenda items include an overview of the El Malpais National Conservation Area, potential fee discussions for Joe Skeen Campground and Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument and updates from the BLM Farmington, Taos and Rio Puerco field offices.

A half-hour public comment period will take place at 2:15 p.m. Depending on the number of people who want to comment and time available, the amount of time for individual oral comments may be limited.

The in-person field trip component to visit the El Malpais NCA has been canceled because of increased COVID-19 cases.
