The Bureau of Land Management Gunnison Field Office announced a 30-day public scoping period to initiate travel management planning efforts across about 50,000 acres in San Juan County.
The town of Silverton and San Juan County recently approved the Silverton Area Trails Plan, which will help inform BLM’s travel management planning in the area. The BLM is also seeking input from the public to address current and future transportation needs.
A public meeting will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. June 20 at the Kendall Mountain Lodge in Silverton. The BLM is accepting comments through July 5. Comments must be submitted through the BLM ePlanning site at www.go.usa.gov/xmMab. Current proposals are also available on the ePlanning site and available for review at the Gunnison Field Office, 210A W. Spencer Ave.
Before including personal identifying information in your comments, be aware that your entire comment, including personal identifying information, may be made publicly available at any time.
