Toni Abbey, director of the nonprofit Blueprints of Hope, has been invited to participate in the Escape to THRIVE Leadership Conference, in Tucson, Arizona.

This five-day January conference is intended to support cancer advocates in their continued work of improving cancer patient education and outreach. The conference offers interactive sessions with experts sharing their insights on current and upcoming policies and practices affecting oncology, cancer care, survivorship and advocacy. Each session incorporates networking, team building and a venue for developing new ideas for advocates to support those who are affected by cancer.

Additionally, the conference is a forum for organizations to get to know one another, to address the commonalities of survivorship issues through networking and collaboration and to offer an opportunity to improve or relearn personal well-being and self-care. Blueprints of Hope is one of 105 cancer advocate organizations nationwide that have attended Escape to THRIVE since 2011.
