Today I helped at the BMX state qualifying races. (Disclosure: my grandson is racer Jack Siggins.) I worked a table selling caps and cold beverages for Durango BMX.
Happy Pappy's set up on one side of us (pizza and much more, I learned) and the Purple Ice Cream Truck parked on the other side.
What an enjoyable, happy, uplifting day we spent together: families, friends and racers, all sorts of enthusiastic supporters of young athletes training to be strong, healthy beings.
Congratulations to all the qualifiers and competitors and a special tip-o-the-hat to Happy Pappy's and the Purple Ice Cream Truck for supporting our Durango community.
