Bobcats waiting to start 2017 play

Eager to rush out for pre-game warmups earlier this season inside IHS Gymnasium, junior Avionne Gomez and her fellow Bobcats will have to wait just a little longer to resume competition in the New Year.  The Ignacio girls' first contest in 2017 is currently set for Jan. 10 at 3A Bayfield, with 2A/1A San Juan Basin League road trips scheduled for Ridgway on Jan. 14 and Telluride on Jan. 17. Telluride, coincidentally, will get underway Saturday, Jan. 7, at BHS in a seldom-seen encounter, giving IHS' personnel an opportunity to scout both the Miners and Wolverines.
