The Durango Botanical Society will host a plant photography workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
David Porter with Durango’s David Porter Studios and Durango School of Photography will lead the workshop. The workshop will cover photographic techniques and equipment to help participants get professional-looking photos of plants and flowers.
Participants will learn how to maximize photo quality on a phone camera and will be able to benefit from Porter’s 20 years of experience in teaching amateurs how to produce professional level photos.
Cost is $25 for Botanical Society members and $35 for non-members. Morning snacks and lunch will be provided. Space is limited.
