Boulevard Neighborhood Association to hold annual meeting Oct. 17

The Boulevard Neighborhood Association will hold its annual meeting at 1 p.m. Oct. 17 at Mason Park. Members will hear the 2020-21 year in review and elect two board members to serve three-year terms in office. There will be discussion regarding the city of Durango’s official policy for naming or renaming city assets, including whether neighborhood interest exists to restore East Third Avenue’s historical name, “The Boulevard.” A draft resource directory will be introduced. The board will ask for volunteer commitments for the BNA’s annual Christmas Eve Luminaria display. Attendees are reminded to dress for the weather and to bring a lawn chair.

East Third Avenue property owners are invited to join the Boulevard Neighborhood Association, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) educational volunteer organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the historic residential character within the zone overlay which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic Residential Neighborhood. Membership and dues information can be obtained from board member/treasurer Mike Todt at miketodt@gmail.com

BNA members in good standing seeking to serve on the BNA Board of Directors are encouraged to contact board members, Tony Rocha, at 107nft@gmail.com or Karen Brucoli Anesi at karenanesi@gmail.com
