The Boulevard Neighborhood Association will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at Mason Park to hear a presentation from the Durango Police Department about a safety improvement program, which includes the removal of parking spaces on East Third Avenue at designated intersections to improve the line of sight for vehicles. Residents will have a chance to offer feedback about the program. The public is invited to attend.
Information will also be presented about pedestrian crossings, a traffic speed study and enforcement data.
At the conclusion of the presentation, attendees are welcome to share neighborhood concerns or ideas they would like addressed at the October annual meeting of the Boulevard Neighborhood Association.
Questions about the safety improvement program can be directed to Durango Police Cmdr. Ray Shupe at 375-4700.
