The donation will help cover costs of relief efforts in La Plata County, including shelter for those displaced by the ongoing wildfire.

“While our neighbors in La Plata County have been hit hard and continue to be impacted by the wildfire, we hope this donation can provide a small measure of relief to those who need it,” said Will Burton, vice president of operations for BP Lower 48 in Durango.

American Red Cross helps people affected by disasters, such as wildfires and other crises. This gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from disasters big and small.
