Once upon a time in a quiet, mellow, unhurried Durango long, long ago, we had a smaller version of a post office on North Main. Since Durango has exploded over the last two to four years, it would be nice to have that option returned.
The little post office also accepted packages for mailing, which would be a nice addition, as there are times at the main post office when you might want to take a small lunch, a beach chair and a beverage as you wait in the growing line.
Indeed, the Durango of say 50-plus years ago has become the new South Denver.
