Bring home and care for service people

How often do you pause to think about the approximately 300,000 active duty service men and women stationed overseas?

If you’re like most Americans, an honest answer would be, “Never.” Many of these men and women are in war zones and have been risking their lives for far too long. They deserve better.

President Trump has indicated he would like to honor the military with a big parade. Here is how I would like to see him honor their service and sacrifice:

Trump declares victory in the “War on Terror” and orders all combat operations to cease. All overseas personnel work to close every overseas base and are ordered to return home to the states inside of 30 days. Parades are held in different U.S. cities to honor the returning service members and memorials are conducted to honor the fallen. The nation commits to quality, lifetime care for the injured active duty and veterans.

Think it could happen? I bet it would only take 10 percent of the country working together to make it so.
