Build smarter

I noticed what wasn’t harmed by the hurricanes east of the Mississippi and the current fires on the west coast – brick and/or stone fireplaces.

It wouldn’t hurt for homeowners to learn the best ways to replace what was demolished, since climate change is not going away with the “drill-baby-drill” attitude of the incoming administration.

Insurers are now refusing to replace the same stick-built home with another in disaster zones, but would likely consider a policy for a more durable structure.

Build smart and use more than the typical 10% of our brains.
