Jennifer Cote Pulk is a new mortgage processor at the main branch. Cote Pulk has been living in Durango for the past five years. She attended Maine College of Art and Glasgow School of Art (Scotland) and received her degree in graphic design. She was previously with NIA Consulting (Interthinx).

Durango CoWest Insurance has a new name – Rocky Mountain Insured.
Rocky Mountain Insured has been purchased by Terrie Anstead and will continue to be an affiliate of CoWest Insurance Group. The office is at 556 Main Ave. above Starbucks. Local attends course on physical therapy
Jessica McGinley-Voegeli, MPT recently attended a physical-therapy course about differential diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders presented by Jean A. McConnell, PT, MS, ATC.
This course was geared toward giving therapists an understanding of the connection between headaches, dizziness, balance and vertigo disorders and how to effectively assess and treat the patient. This course gave insight on how the central nervous system and neuro pathways function and how this often correlates to diagnoses and symptoms.
McGinley-Voegeli, MPT currently works at Rivergate Physical Therapy located upstairs at Animas Surgical Hospital.

Monthly BID coffee, conversation to be held
The monthly BID Coffee & Conversation, hosted by the Durango Business Improvement District will take place from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday in City Council Chambers at Durango City Hall, 949 East Second Ave.
The main topic will be a look at the major summer events and how the BID promotes them, plus a look at the 2014 Summer Durango Melodrama & Vaudeville: “The Dame of Durango.” Immediately following the gathering, the city of Durango will host an informational meeting from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the chambers to discuss parking enforcement of alleys for delivery drivers and the parking ordinance regarding alley enforcement. Transportation Services staff will be on hand to listen to business owners’ and managers’ comments and concerns related to parking enforcement and the parking program.

Accelerator program seeking applications
The Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs is accepting applications through June 20 for its third program.
SCAPE’s objective is to support the creation and development of high-growth, job-creating companies in Southwest Colorado by offering an Accelerator Program that provides funding, education and mentoring. Successful completion of the SCAPE program should provide these ventures the ability to enter markets and raise capital.
The program is supported by local investors and mentors as well as economic-development organizations, including the Region 9 Economic Development District, the La Plata Economic Development Alliance, Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center as well as First Southwest Bank. SCAPE runs two Accelerator Programs per year. Each company receives an equity investment to build their company, along with free office space. At the end of the four-month program, the graduating finalists will present their investor presentations.

LPEA to host lighting workshop
La Plata Electric Association, continuing its Free Information Series, will host a Lighting Technology Workshop from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 25 at the Ross Aragon Community Center, 451 Hot Springs Blvd., Pagosa Springs.
An optional, complimentary lunch will be served at ProLine Supply in Pagosa Springs following the workshop. Helping LPEA’s members decide on which bulbs are best for them is at the core of the ongoing series. LPEA also offers a variety of lighting rebates for both residents and businesses. Rebates help mitigate the cost of changing out bulbs, and those options will be reviewed at the workshop.
ProLine Supply, located at 31 Goldmine, Pagosa Springs, carries a variety of the new, energy-efficient light bulbs and will host the post-workshop lunch in part to show the bulbs available locally to residents and businesses. Lunch is free and open to all.

LPEA to host golf tournament
La Plata Electric Association will host its annual golf tournament on June 21 at the Pagosa Springs Golf Course.
The registration deadline is June 18. The tournament is open to community members and will benefit the Archuleta County Search & Rescue and local food banks. The tournament is a four-person scramble, which includes lunch, golf cart, prizes and more. The field will be limited to 36 teams. Hole sponsorship is available for $150, $500 and $1,000 and independent donations are welcome. Cash or checks only.
