Massage therapy clinic moves to new location

ARIA Therapeutics Medical Massage has relocated from Suite 150 to Suite 201 inside Integrated Physical Therapy at Mercy Regional Medical Center’s campus.

Patients should park in Lot E and go through the main entrance for Spine Colorado/Durango Orthopedics.

ARIA also will continue care at its satellite office in downtown Durango at 1401 Main Ave., Suite A. The clinic specializes in medical massage therapy and accepts insurance, workers’ compensation cases and self-pay patients.

LPEA systems engineer completes program

La Plata Electric Association Systems Engineer Dan Harms has completed The Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program.

The program is offered by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Held in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin, Madison, it is a six-week program that focuses on various management issues during three two-week sessions.

The program provides comprehensive analysis of the functions and processes of management, as well as practical application through individual and small-group projects as it guides participants through all facets of the electric utility industry. Only rural electric cooperative CEOs and top-level management participate in the program.

Eye clinic announces practice administrator

Four Corners Eye Clinic announces its new practice administrator, Joe Theine.

Theine comes to the clinic with more than 18 years in the health-care industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, a Master of Business Administration in health-care management and 10 years of experience in the management field.

His experience ranges from owning a business to management within a multinational corporation. Recently, Theine was the executive director at San Juan Basin Health Department.

Snowdown board elects new officers

The Snowdown Durango board of directors elected these officers for the 2013-2014 term at its May 21 meeting: Dawn James-Staten, president; Peg Ochsenreiter, vice president; Tim Zink, treasurer; and Julie Oskard, secretary.

Snowdown Safari So Good! is scheduled for Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, 2014.
