RMBA-Architects announces new hire

RMBA-Architects announces the addition of Lauren Jackson to its team.

Jackson, originally from Kansas City, Mo., is a certified planner with experience in architecture and planning. She brings a diverse skill set and proficiency using 3-D modeling software including Revit, SketchUp and advance rendering applications. Jackson worked at Studio Southwest Architects in Albuquerque, and before that, she worked for Looney Ricks Kiss Architects, a national full-service firm.

She brings extensive experience with commercial retail and mixed-use projects. Jackson will be involved with the firm’s commercial and higher-education projects and will provide project support during the design phases through construction. RMBA-Architects of Durango has more than 30 years of experience in the Southwest Colorado market.

Animas Surgical opens urgent care

Animas Surgical Hospital recently expanded its services to include an urgent care and occupational medicine facility that is now open to the public.

Animas Urgent Care, at 450 S. Camino del Rio, offers a walk-in clinic for illnesses and injuries, preventive care, exams, sports physicals, flu shots, and on-site X-rays and lab work. Additionally, within the Animas Urgent Care facility is Animas Occupational Medicine. It provides comprehensive care from the date of injury to work return. Animas Occupational Medicine focuses on work-related injuries, return-to-work clearances, follow-up care, Department of Transportation physicals and impairment ratings. Animas Urgent Care will showcase its new services and facility during the Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Tyler Horn achieves mold certification

Tyler Horn with UltraSteam Professional Cleaning & Restoration Services Inc. recently achieved his Applied Microbial Remediation Technician Certification from the Institute for Inspection, Cleaning & Restoration Certification.

Horn completed a week-long course of classroom and hands-on training to become an AMRT certified restorer. UltraSteam provides IICRC Certified Mold Remediation, using green cleaning products and antimicrobials, as well as water damage and sewage cleanup services and structural drying.
