Kathrine McClenny joins the business banking department as vice president and treasury management officer.
McClenny has more than 30 years of bank experience in Durango, and she will lead in assisting business customers by providing commercial loans and cash management solutions. McClenny will be located in the Bodo branch, 125 Sawyer Drive. She can be contacted at 382-5715.
Jenni Neal is a drive-up teller at the main office. She recently moved to Durango from Fort Worth, Texas, where she attended Texas Christian University. Neal comes to us from Comerica Bank.
Fort Lewis College will host The John Foley Leadership Experience with John Foley at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 3 in the Student Union Ballroom for a Business Leadership Breakfast.
Foley will discuss activating high performance and share his framework and philosophy on leadership. All ticket proceeds will go to the Fort Lewis College Jeff Kuss Memorial Scholarship.

The Jeff Kuss Memorial Scholarship was founded by The Kuss family through the Fort Lewis College Foundation. Kuss graduated from FLC in 2006 with a degree in economics from the School of Business Administration.

Alpine Bank recently promoted Kristi Shelton to executive vice president of human resources.
Shelton is a Colorado native, growing up in Glenwood Springs and graduating from Glenwood Springs High School.
Shelton attended college in Buchannon, West Virginia, and attained a degree in management information systems, as well as a degree in political science.
Alpine Bank Wealth Management recently promoted Adam Dentlinger to president. Based in Grand Junction, Dentlinger oversees wealth management functions in all Alpine Bank markets, providing services to individuals, foundations, retirement plans and trusts.
Dentlinger joined the department in 2005 and has served in many Alpine Bank markets. He received his bachelors in business administration and his master’s from Central Michigan University.

San Juan Basin Health announces Sonja Bennett as the new environmental health director.
She has extensive environmental health experience including water and environmental genetics laboratory research through San Diego State University and public health emergency preparedness with the University of California Los Angeles.
Bennett also has experience with the Native American Alliance for Emergency Preparedness, and has a bachelor’s in zoology and a master’s degree in environmental health.
San Juan Basin Health’s Home and Community Based Services Program is pleased to announce the hiring of Jenna Meyer as the new administrative assistant and case manager. Meyer has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and she is also a licensed practicing nurse.
Dave Hennigan is San Juan Basin Health’s new accounting manager.
Hennigan has worked in finance for a large health care organization in Anchorage, Alaska, and was most recently vice president of the revenue cycle for Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque.
Elder Friends Network, a new Durango business, connects smart, empathetic individuals (“Friends”) with isolated elders to help alleviate elder loneliness and depression.
Through in-person, interactive visits, Elder Friends provides social and emotional care for aging adults. Families will receive feedback about their loved one, and all employees are vetted and trained to ensure elder safety.

Haug received her degree at Yale, where she was awarded the Young Investigator Award from the Microcirculatory Society. She then obtained her medical degree and ophthalmic residency training at the University of California in San Francisco.
Haug’s vitreoretinal fellowship was completed at West Coast Retina. She specializes in treating all medical and surgical diseases of the retina, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment, epiretinal membrane, macular holes, retinal vascular disease, choroidal melanoma, uveitis, ophthalmic trauma and complications of cataract surgery.
Haug is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. She is now available for consultation and holds privileges at Mercy Regional Medical Center and Animas Surgical Hospital.
