Jessica Unruh has been recognized for her innovation, knowledge and hard work by being named general manager of FASTSIGNS of Durango.
She has been with the Durango FASTSIGNS for the last four years as a sales executive. In her new position as general manager, she will manage sales and operations. She was instrumental in launching and managing the digital advertising programs that FASTSIGNS created at the Durango-La Plata County Airport, Telluride Airport, Durango Welcome Center, Durango Community Recreation Center and Chapman Hill Complex.

Land surveyor completes state exam
Goff Engineering and Surveying Inc. announces that Brian Boniface has successfully completed the Principles and Practices of Land Surveying exam for the state of Colorado and is a registered professional land surveyor.
He has an AAS in land surveying technology from Westwood College and is a field crew chief specializing in construction staking and boundary surveying.

Kalisha Crossland receives recognition
San Juan Basin Health’s Kalisha Crossland was recently recognized as the “Rookie of the Year 2014” by the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing at the Healthy Communities Family Health Coordinator Annual Summit.
Crossland is the health department’s Healthy Communities family health coordinator. In this role, she serves Medicaid clients by providing assistance with obtaining coverage, coordinating access to health-care services, case management and outreach.

Growing Spaces of Pagosa Springs will be recognized Thursday at RedLine in Denver as one of Colorado’s leading green businesses by ColoradoBIZ Magazine.

LPEA board elects officers
La Plata Electric Association board members elected Michael Rendon to serve as 2014-2015 president, with Heather Erb re-elected as vice president.
Jeff Berman and Mark Garcia were elected as secretary and treasurer, respectively. Collectively, the four make up the board’s Executive Committee.
Joe Wheeling will maintain his seat on the Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association board of directors, and Berman and Bob Formwalt will continue as the representatives for the Colorado Rural Electric Association and Western United boards, respectively. Jack Turner and newly elected board member Bob Lynch will sit on the LPEA Round Up Foundation board.

Health insurer to restructure
Rocky Mountain Health Plans announces a restructuring of its regional Durango sales office and personnel.
Jeff Emerson, account executive for large and small group sales in the Grand Junction office, has expanded his territory to cover all of Colorado’s Western Slope, including Durango; local Lisa Agius has been promoted to account manager of large group clients.
Emerson, from Greeley, began his career with RMHP in 2010 as an individual sales representative. In January 2013, he was promoted to account executive for large-group and small-group sales and, most recently, has expanded his territory to cover the entire Western Slope.
Agius, from Durango, joined Rocky Mountain Health Plans in 2008 as a sales administration coordinator. In 2009, she helped develop and implement the partially self-funded product, Premier Advantage; in 2010, she was promoted to small-group sales and service representative and account manager for the Premier Advantage product line. In addition to her new role, she will continue her work with the Premier Advantage product.
