Insurance company announces name change
Rocky Mountain Insured has changed its name to Durango CoWest Insurance.
Rocky Mountain Insured was purchased by Terrie Anstead and will continue to be an affiliate of CoWest Insurance Group. The Durango CoWest Insurance office is at 556 Main Ave., above Starbucks. The agency will continue to provide the same products and service. These products include business insurance, workers compensation, bonds, home, auto, farm and ranch as well as others.

Ellen Tomsic completes doctoral studies
Rakita & Tomsic Physical Therapy announces the successful completion of doctoral studies for Ellen Tomsic, therapist and co-owner of Rakita & Tomsic Physical Therapy.
This achievement earns Tomsic the advanced degree and designation of DPT, doctor of physical therapy. Tomsic received her DPT from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah, where her doctoral work included completion of an one-year doctorate program. Along with concentrated study, Tomsic completed a research project on osteoarthritis of the knee, including its origins, and the best evidence-based research of treatment using physical therapy.

Wells Fargo Advisors announce promotion
The Durango branch of Wells Fargo Advisors announces that Gail Aalund has been promoted to branch manager.
Aalund is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Durango branch and its four financial advisers. She has been with Wells Fargo Advisors for six years and has more than 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before becoming a branch manager, she served as a financial adviser. She is a designated certified financial planner and has an MBA in finance from the University of Illinois. She is a member of Durango High Noon Rotary and the Women’s Resource Center.
