Animas Urgent Care to host ribbon cutting

Animas Urgent Care, 450 S. Camino del Rio, will hold a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Animas Urgent Care is part of the Animas Surgical Hospital family. The urgent care has three new health-care providers. In addition, Animas Surgical Hospital has relocated its occupational medicine services to the new facility.

FredrickZink welcomes new staff accountant

FredrickZink & Associates has announced the addition of staff accountant Steven Housley.

Housley, a 2010 Fort Lewis College graduate, returns to Durango from his most recent position with a CPA firm in Glenwood Springs. He will concentrate on the areas of audit, tax and accounting service. Housley’s double major in accounting and business administration will bring a further depth of understanding to his work. While attending FLC, he was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society and a FLC School of Business Administration Student Advisory Board Member.

First National Bank announces new hire

First National Bank of Durango announces the addition of Heather Goetz.

Goetz joined the bank Aug. 5 and works with the front-desk team. She came from Las Vegas, Nev., where she worked at an elementary school health office. Goetz grew up in Orange County, Calif., and has been in Durango for 1½ years.
