Pilates Durango announces opening

Pilates Durango, a new fully equipped Pilates Studio located at 801 Florida Road, Suite 6, announces its opening.

Pilates Durango is offering privates, duets, semi-privates, mat classes and equipment classes. All classes are taught by fully trained and experienced certified Pilates instructors, Andrea Martone, Marisa Haga and Rhonda Unkovskoy. A multitude of classes will be offered five days a week from beginner to advance and all ages and fitness levels are welcome.

Pilates Durango and existing wellness business, Body of Work (owned by Bridgett and Lloyd Decker) have collaborated to house their businesses under “one roof” in the spirit of providing a center for those looking to make a positive change in their health. Body of Work provides chiropractic and Rolfing care which is an excellent complement to the Pilates principles of body alignment, balanced musculature and functional movement.

360 Insurance Co. announces opening

360 Insurance Co. announces its opening at 1065 Main Ave., Suite 205.

The business is owned by Troy Noem and Kelly Brown who have 21 years of insurance experience. The business is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. It specializes in farm and ranch, country homes, and home and auto insurance.

LPEA offers workshop on grant education

La Plata Electric Association will host an energy-efficiency and renewable-energy systems grant-education workshop featuring U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development representative Pattie Snidow, community and economic development director, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. June 10 in the multi-purpose room at LPEA’s Bodo Industrial Park headquarters, 45 Stewart St.

It is free and open to small businesses or agriculture producers interested in investing in energy-efficiency upgrades or renewable systems and seeking additional funding. The USDA grants, which can be up to 25 percent of a project’s costs, are designed to encourage implementation of commercially available energy efficiencies or renewable-energy products on a commercial building or energy-efficiency improvements to manufacturing process or equipment such as coolers and refrigerators. Eligible applicants are those considered small businesses by the Small Business Administration or agriculture producers. This grant program is available to private sector applicants only.

Chamber to host Tuesday Talk

The Durango Chamber of Commerce will host Tuesday Talk at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at Carver Brewing Co., 1022 Main Ave.

This is a casual networking event. Local insurance professionals will discuss what people should talk over with their insurance provider to make sure their business is covered.
