Chamber to host networking event

The Durango Chamber of Commerce will host Tuesday Talk at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at Carver Brewing Co., 1022 Main Ave.

This is a casual networking event and will feature a free cup of coffee. Participants will learn about different programs available in the area for first-time home buyers. A group of local experts will be on hand including Karen Iverson and Pam Moore of the Regional Housing Alliance, Mark Bowman of Caliber Home Loan, and Dan Korman and Hannah Chary of The Wells Group. Urgent Care centers under new ownership

Durango Urgent Care and Aztec Urgent Care have been bought by the clinic-management team Bryan Vincent and Holly Andersen, along with Mike Andersen and a small group of investors.

Vincent is the new CEO; Holly Andersen, chief operating officer; and Mike Andersen will lead business development.

Together, they have a combined total of more than seven decades of local business experience.

Previously, the two businesses were family-owned by Durango locals Suzanne Cartier-Bowker, Jack Cartier and Paula Dunne.

Durango Urgent Care is located at 2577 Main Ave. in Durango.

Aztec Urgent Care is located at 604 S. Rio Grande Ave. in Aztec.

Both are walk-in urgent-care clinics that treat a wide variety of nonlife-threatening injuries and illnesses and are open seven days a week.
