‘Cabaret’ auditions are this week

The Durango Arts Center will hold auditions for the Broadway musical hit “Cabaret” from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the DAC Theater. Actors ages 18-60, especially men, are needed.

Available roles include the leads of Sally Bowles (acting/singing/dancing) and the Emcee (acting/singing/dancing) as well as Kit-Kat Girls (6-8 singing and dancing), Kit Kat Boys (2-4 singing and dancing), 2-4 Roles for mature actors (male and female) and 2-3 male acting-only roles (no singing and dancing).

Those who audition should prepare a short song to sing (a capella or with a CD) and be ready to learn and perform a brief dance sequence starting at 6 p.m.

Please note that the directing team can work around conflicts if it is known ahead of time. Bring scheduling conflicts to auditions. You must be available for all performances.
