Call on Congress to censure the president

It’s past time for Congress to censure President Trump.

This is not a partisan issue. Without this action, Congress becomes complicit in the denigration of social standards we expect society’s leaders to follow.

I would say Congress needs to do this before Trump’s aberrant behaviors become just another day of politics. Unfortunately, this seems already the case.

Facts of President Trump’s continued acts of racism; repulsive language; his over 2,000 lies to the American public since taking office, should not be excused as they have been with a wagging rhetorical finger, denial or ignorance.

If you raised children, I suspect these behaviors from your 4-year-old were checked. So why do we excuse Trump?

Please call or write Congress today urging censure and the setting of specific behaviors for the president to adhere to, like we do for our children.

Otherwise, where will this end?
