Call on Rep. Tipton to reject H.R. 307

Congress has wasted no time in setting the wheels in motion to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), without having a replacement for it in place for millions of Americans.

Congress is also making sure that they are taking care of themselves. Rep. Davidson, R-Ohio, has introduced bill H.R. 307 which states: “To ensure that Members of Congress and Congressional staff receive health care from the Department of Veterans Affairs instead of under the Federal Health Benefits Program or health care exchanges.” Congress, therefore, is assuring that they continue to have health care coverage while they remove health care benefits from millions of Americans.

So, if the ACA is repealed and H.R. 307 passes, the already overwhelmed VA health care system could face thousands of new applicants in a single day, many of whom are not veterans. This is a slap in the face to veterans and a disgrace to all Americans.

Please contact our representative, Scott Tipton, to urge him to make sure this shameful bill never sees the light of day.
