At the breakfast table, we enjoyed the last “easy Monday” puzzles and laughed about saving the paper for posterity. What we did not do was slam Ballantine Communications for its decision to print and deliver three papers a week.
The Durango Herald is successfully evolving to digital-first reporting. Subscribers will still read a newspaper three days a week and see online local news and opinion from Herald journalists.
A recent letter writer canceled his subscription in protest. I will extend mine.
