The premature cancellation of the Iron Horse was inexcusable and took valuable business away from Silverton. To cancel the race so early because of the threat of bad weather was nonsensical. Everyone here knows how volatile the weather can be in the mountains. Just because there are a few flurries doesn’t mean you should go jumping to conclusions. The greatest disappointment was waking up to a bluebird morning in Silverton and an empty town.
