Election is April 5, petitions due Jan. 25
Bayfield and Ignacio have town board elections on April 5. The candidate filing time is a month earlier than in the past.
Candidate petitions are available now at the town halls. Completed petitions are due back to the respective town clerk by 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25. Eligible candidates must be registered voters and must have lived in town for at least 12 consecutive months before the election date.
Bayfield will have three trustee seats and the mayor's seat up for election. All are four-year terms.
Ignacio has three trustee seats up for election.
Voting on April 5 will be at the respective town halls from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
