Applications are being accepted for an aviation scholarship, which was created by the Wingman Foundation to honor Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss, who died two years ago in an airplane crash in Tennessee.
The scholarship is intended for applicants with little to no experience in aviation. To qualify, applicants must be Colorado residents 16 to 25 years old; applicants younger than 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian. Students are required to have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA.
The application deadline is Saturday, March 31, and the scholarship recipient will attend flight training in the summer.
