Catching fish for metals testing

Pete Deren, an aquatic technician with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, shocked and collected 10 adult fish, including this brown trout, on Friday from the Animas River. Deren and Jim White, a fisheries biologist with CPW, sent the fish to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Environmental Protection Agency for metals analysis.
