I am supporting Christian Champagne for district attorney. I have known Christian and his family for several years. I can say without hesitation that he is a man of high integrity, who cares deeply about his community and will work for dedication and focus to serve us all as an excellent district attorney.
Christian has a deep commitment to restorative justice and helping people resolve their criminal issue in the community. I know that he has been instrumental in supporting the problem solving courts we have in our jurisdiction, including our drug court and mental health court, and that he is working to help develop a DUI Court. Christian has also played an integral part in building restorative justice opportunities in the criminal justice system that help solve criminal issues and hold offenders accountable, but that also work to allow the offender to repair their harm, gives victims a voice in the process and build a stronger community as a result.
This type of innovative solutions are part of what makes this DA’s office so special. Christian is willing to go the extra mile to develop and strengthen these types of programs and help us build a strong and safer community as a result.
I urge you to attend your caucus on Tuesday and support Christian Champagne for the next district attorney. He is the kind of leader we need, and he can lead us into the future, building a stronger and safer community.
